How to Get Started

Complete the mentorship inquiry to be considered for the upcoming program cycle. Our team will review applications and reach out with next steps.

What does the Mentorship program process look like for the participant & Mentor?

Students and mentors begin by completing an online application. This helps us understand goals, interests, and availability so we can create thoughtful, supportive matches. Our team carefully reviews each application to ensure alignment with the values and expectations of Heart of Sol Foundation. Selected participants are notified with next steps and program details. Mentors and mentees are paired based on shared interests, goals, and availability. Our goal is to create meaningful, supportive connections that foster trust and growth.

1

Both mentors and mentees participate in an orientation session that introduces the program structure, expectations, and guidelines. This ensures everyone begins the program feeling prepared and supported. The mentorship program will run for 8 weeks in the summer, with weekly virtual sessions. Conversations focus on personal growth, goal-setting, education and career readiness, and building confidence.

2

Heart of Sol Foundation remains actively involved throughout the program, providing resources, check-ins, and support to both mentors and mentees to ensure a positive experience. At the end of the program, participants are invited to reflect on their journey, celebrate growth, and share feedback. Many mentor–mentee relationships continue beyond the program in meaningful ways.
