Brave hearts change the world 2026: Philippines Medical mission and Feeding program

Heart of Sol Foundation Brings Medical Care, Meals & Compassion to Communities in the Philippines

September 1–2, 2026 | Concepcion, Tarlac, Philippines

On September 1 and 2, 2026, the Heart of Sol Foundation, in collaboration with The Law Offices of Erik L. Mullins, returned to the Philippines for two meaningful days of service dedicated to children, senior citizens, families, and underserved communities.

Over the course of the two-day Medical Mission & Feeding Program, our teams traveled throughout Concepcion, Tarlac with one simple purpose: to serve the younger generation and to give back to the generation that built the land and culture we are living in presently.

Our message to the kids for this entire mission was "BRAVE HEARTS CHANGE THE WORLD" inspiring them to be courageous because courage is required to create a positive impact in one's own life, someone else's life, a community, or even the world! A brave heart is not necessarily someone that is fearless, but someone who chooses to act despite of fear, uncertainty, or difficulty. A brave heart sees something that can be better and says, "I'm going to do something about it."

Day One: Feeding the Next Generation & Caring for Our Elders

EVENT ONE | Feeding Program at San Francisco Elementary School

On September 1, 2026 Heart of Sol Foundation launched our first event of four events in our Medical and Feeding Mission Trip. Thank you to our sponsor, The Law Offices of Erik L Mullins! Because of our generous sponsor, we were able to feed and serve 350 students from kindergarten to the 3rd grade including the school staff at San Francisco Elementary School located in Concepcion, Tarlac, Philippines. For Heart of Sol Foundation, returning to this school carries special meaning. It is a community deeply connected to our founder's family history and one we have been grateful to continue serving through our work in the Philippines.

EVENT TWO | Medical Mission & Feeding Program for the Elderly

Later in the evening, we had our second event out of four events of our Medical and Feeding Mission Trip in the Philippines. This event was a bit more private, it was held in our personal neighborhood in the province catering to the underprivileged elderly community in Concepcion, Tarlac. Thank you to the Law Offices of Erik L Mullins for your sponsorship. Because of our generous sponsor, we were able to feed 120 elderly citizens a hot meal, give them water, a little bit of cash for their ride and also vitamins to promote overall health. We had a nurse practitioner on site to check their vitals and give them direction on how to treat any of their ailments.

Fun fact: In the Kapampangan region of the Philippines, we will perform a gesture called "Siklód" or "Bless Po". In other regions in the Philippines, it can be known as "Mano Po". Which is a gesture where the younger person will gently take the back of the elders hand and put it up to their forehead to symbolize that we acknowledge our elders, we give them high honor, we respect their life, and we ask for their blessing in our life. The elders normally respond and say "God bless you".

Although our mission is to empower the next generation, we believe it's important to honor and love the generation that built the land and culture we are living in presently. We hope the younger generation can follow our example and have appreciation for the people that came before us, their efforts in creating a better world, and their wise counsel from their personal experiences.

Day Two: Medical Mission & Community Outreach

EVENT THREE | Medical Mission for the Elderly & Feeding Program for the Kids at Precious Life Ministry International

On September 2, 2026, we had our third event out of four events of our Medical and Feeding Mission Trip in the Philippines. This event took place at Precious Life Ministry International, a church founded by Nhor & John Latinovich. Because of their foundation, we were able to have a successful medical mission helping 300+ elderly residents. They helped Heart of Sol Foundation provide medical aid to the elderly community. Their team of nurses and doctors gave screenings, medical guidance, and prescription medications to help with specific ailments.

After our medical mission portion of this event, we fed 150 kids a famous, comforting, and delicious meal known as Arroz Caldo. We also gifted each of them a multivitamin to promote overall wellness. Thank you to the staff and volunteers at Precious Life Ministry International for your efforts of organizing this event and helping us serve your community.

Thank you to The Law Offices of Erik L Mullins for being such a generous donor. This entire trip would not have been possible without their donation and dedication to Heart of Sol Foundation's mission to empower the next generation of leaders to become leaders of a better world.

EVENT FOUR | Feeding and Connecting with the Filipino Aeta community

Later in the day, we had our fourth and final event out of four events for our Medical and Feeding Mission Trip in the Philippines. We wrapped the trip up by giving back to the Aeta community. The Aetas (pronounced "eye-tas") are Negritos that live in the jungles and mountains of the island of Luzon. They are an indigenous ethnic group among the earliest known inhabitants of the Philippines.

We fed 120 people from this community. Our favorite part was being able to connect with each other through a universal language - DANCE! They showed us their cultural dance and invited us to dance with them. It was quite memorable and such a beautiful way to finish our mission trip.

Thank you to The Law Offices of Erik L Mullins for not only being our sponsor but flying all the way to the Philippines to serve with their own hands and feet! We are so thankful to be partners with a personal injury law firm who truly cares about the work they do, the impact they make, and serving beyond borders.

More Than 1,000 Lives Reached

Across September 1 and 2, approximately 1,000 people were reached through our feeding and medical outreach efforts:

  • 350 children at San Francisco Elementary School (Event 1)

  • 120 senior citizens provided meals and vitamins (Event 2)

  • 300 senior citizens served through the medical mission and feeding program (Event 3)

  • 150 children served through the medical mission and feeding program (Event 3)

  • 120 members of the Aeta community provided meals (Event 4)

Behind every number is a person—a child with a dream, an elder with a lifetime of stories, a family, and a community deserving of opportunity and care.

Partnership Makes Greater Impact Possible

This mission would not have been possible without collaboration.

Heart of Sol Foundation extends our sincere gratitude to The Law Offices of Erik L. Mullins for partnering with us to bring this mission to life. When organizations unite around a shared commitment to service, we are able to reach farther and create a greater collective impact.

We are also deeply grateful to every healthcare professional, volunteer, local organizer, community leader, donor, and individual who gave their time, resources, energy, and heart to these two days.

Service That Goes Beyond a Single Mission

At Heart of Sol Foundation, we believe service is about more than meeting an immediate need. It is about reminding people that they matter—and empowering the next generation of leaders to become leaders of a better world.

Our work in the Philippines is part of a much larger commitment to education, servant leadership, civic engagement, and global service.

These two days may have ended, but the relationships, memories, and responsibility to continue serving remain with us.

From Arizona to the Philippines and wherever our mission takes us next, we will continue working toward a world where young people are empowered to lead, communities are strengthened, and service brings people together across borders.

This is what global service looks like.
This is what community looks like.
This is the Heart of Sol.
