What made you want to start your business?
My passion for the beauty industry began when I was just seven years old. I always knew I wanted to help people look and feel beautiful, but over the years, that passion grew into something much more meaningful.
After more than 20 years in the industry, I’ve learned that what we do goes far beyond hair. Through Salon K I’ve had the privilege of helping women experiencing hair loss or just needing an image pick me up rediscover their confidence, dignity, and sense of self.
I started my business because I wanted to create a place where every woman feels seen, heard, valued, and beautiful, regardless of what season of life she’s walking through. For me, it’s never been just about changing someone’s hair. It’s about changing how they feel when they look in the mirror.
WHAT IS A MESSAGE YOU WANT TO SHARE WITH THE YOUTH?
Never allow the world to define your worth or limit your dreams. Your value isn’t determined by your appearance, your circumstances, or the opinions of others.
Be courageous enough to follow your passions, humble enough to keep learning, and compassionate enough to lift others along the way.
Success isn’t just measured by what you accomplish or how much money you make. It’s measured by the lives you touch, the kindness you show, and the difference you make.
Most importantly, remember that God created you with a unique purpose. Don’t be afraid to embrace it, even when the journey looks different from what you imagined.
WHAT ACTIVITIES FUEL YOUR SOUL?
My faith, my family, music, and serving others are what truly fuel my soul.
I find tremendous joy in singing and worshiping, spending quality time with the people I love, traveling, and experiencing new adventures.
But one of the greatest blessings in my life is having the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s day. Whether it’s helping a woman regain her confidence after experiencing hair loss, encouraging someone through a difficult season, or simply making someone feel loved and valued, those moments fill my heart.
I believe we are blessed with gifts and talents not just for ourselves, but to share with others.
WHY DO YOU STAND FOR HEART OF SOL FOUNDATION’S MISSION? AND HOW DO YOU APPLY ITS MISSION INTO YOUR PERSONAL LIFE?
I believe that every person deserves to feel valued, supported, and empowered to become the best version of themselves. That’s why supporting the Heart of Sol Foundation is so meaningful to me.I have always believed that true beauty begins within and that confidence, compassion, and kindness have the power to transform lives.
In my personal life and through my businesses, I strive to lead with faith, serve with compassion, and create opportunities to lift others up. Whether I’m helping someone regain their confidence, mentoring a young professional, or supporting organizations that make a difference, I believe even the smallest acts of kindness can create a lasting impact.
To me, giving back isn’t simply something we do when we have extra time or resources. It’s a responsibility and a privilege. When we use our blessings to bless others, we create a ripple effect that reaches far beyond ourselves.
